Here is a list of artists and makers whose work will be available at the Norfolk Artists & Makers Christmas Fair:
Award Winning Norfolk Based Photographer.
I have a great love of the outdoors, especially the coast and I am at my happiest when I am wondering the coast at dawn or dusk capturing the stunning light, colours and fabulous skies that we have here in Norfolk – this is my inspiration. I try to find compositions that err on the side of abstract with bags of mood, these are then processed as colour or black and white images.
All images are strictly limited to a run of 50 and each print is signed, numbered and titled by the artist.
The images are printed on 300gsm Fine Art Paper, cards are also available of some of the images. http://www.katebarclay.co.uk/
My work is inspired by the plants, wildlife and landscape around me. Field sketches and drawings form the backbone of my work and these compositions are worked up in a variety of media – decorative acrylics, watercolours, intricate pen and inks and simple linocuts.
Large range of greetings cards. Commissions taken.
Richard Brooks (Shashamane)
Shashamane photos capture moods and feelings, half-recalled ‘scenes from dreams’ and the soul of his surroundings … being drawn to places with a nostalgic atmosphere, a spirit of timelessness, or the beauty of decay, as well as occasional moments of darkness. Most images are from around Norfolk and eastern Europe “

I have always been fascinated in textiles and have been working with various crafts since I was a child, spinning wool, Knitting and crochet, My influences are organic forms, nature and the coast. I try as much as possible to use natural yarns from theUK, I am currently using Hemp, in my work, which is a wonderful fibre, it has great benefits for the environment as there are no pesticides and every bit of the plant is used. I also like to use local alpaca from Briston and British undyed wool. My buttons are locally made/recycled or fair trade, also use natural dyes when I can, but sometimes it’s lovely to see the knitted fibres in its natural form.
Though my work has a contemporary slant I use traditional methods and materials, oil on canvas and oil or egg tempera on gessoed oak panels, which I make myself. I usually paint people or animals and birds, from life and from photographs, and I focus on emotional content.
I paint portraits on a grand scale. I focus on the face and the images are often of people with unusual but attractive features. A large nose or lips are more interesting than a symmetrical face. Recently I have scaled down my work but continue to paint cropped faces.

Lizzie Mullin
Robert Nairn
Working in oil paint, styles of my paintings include expressionism, abstract expressionism and abstract. Expressing my deeper self through abstract painting in particular, though exciting, is for me, the most difficult to produce. Often, I never know what a painting is saying to me until long after completion.

John paints in a modern impressionist style. He paints mostly en plein air with the livelyness and vitality of the countryside or subject matter being his inspiration and drive, and the light and atmosphere being all important. He is a member of The Wapping Group, The East Anglian Group of Marine Artists and is a Fellow of The Royal society of Arts of South Australia. http://johnshave.co.uk/
I have a particular passion for dragonflies. To observe them close up is to be able to appreciate their intricacies and jewel like qualities, my watercolour studies reflect this. Limited edition prints from the paintings, greetings cards, and photographic work will be available for sale, dragonflies and more.
